Yatar-sūmû (ia-tar-su-mu-u₂)
Commentary
Yatār-sūmû was an agrarian entrepreneur who regularly delivered burrum-grain (handpicked or threshed cereal grain, mainly barley) to the palace (Chambon 2018: 61). This grain was cultivated in the region of Dēr[geogr=Dēr] (ca. 12 km south of Mari[geogr=Mari]). A text concerning sesame and the control of its quality mentions him; see A.90.
