Commentary

Pomponio/Visicato/Westenholz 2006 dated the tablet as „Middle Sargonic“, but Westenholz 2014 classified it as Presargonic/Early Sargonic („ED IIIb-ES“). M. Maiocchi gave the following evaluation: „The text to me looks ES-MS, although it is more likely ES than MS. The sum sign has the plant stem in it, and the zi sign looks rather archaic, but the tablet shape and the layout are more recent. So, if you happen to ask me, I would say that MS is not excluded a priori.“ (personal email from 2021-02-02). The Middle Sargonic date seems even more probable with the assumption that the youngest features date a tablet.

o.1: For the vessel umbinx(LAK 289), a measuring vessel for oil of 2 sila/litres, see Molina 2014: 112 ad SCTRAH 295 o. 12; see here CUSAS 11 326 o.1.

r.2: šu-a gi4 denotes transfers that are made to balance a debt relationship; see here CUSAS 11 316.
