Commentary

This text, probably from Ur, gives us an idea about sesame puller wages, even though this document is not a contract but an expenditure of commodities. So, in the middle of Rīm-Sîn’s reign, this sesame puller got 8.33 grams of silver. For sesame harvest in Babylonia during the Old Babylonian period, see Dossier A.1.1.17.
