Commentary
This letter shows that the quppum[glossary=quppum]-container, made from reed, could carry 70 litres of sesame seeds. Based on the amount of sesame to store (900 litres), at least 13 quppum-containers would have been needed.
Although the rest of the letter is not in good condition, it shows that sesame oil could be transported in jars containing 10 litres, probably the pīḫum[glossary=pīḫum]-jar.
