Commentary
o. 2) The expression “according to the 1 ‘correct‘ gur-measure” could maybe refer to the payment of the biltum-tax for the palace (Chambon 2018: 59), which Ilī-iddinam has collected in the cultivated land under his responsibility (see similar text ARM 08 097, which is dated to the same month IX, when the sesame is harvested).
o. 4) Abullat is the quarter located at the “great door” of Mari.
This text, as other administrative documents, records an amount of sesame brought to the palace by an agrarian entrepreneur just after the harvest; see Dossier A.1.1.18.
